Jaya and Josh Sebburn, from the United Kingdom, are among the proud kids supporting their parents at the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 presented by Jaguar Land Rover.
And their excitement isn’t purely because they are missing a week-and-a-half of school, their dad Steve ‘Sebs” Sebburn has had a golden run at the Games winning the cycling time trial and finishing third in the criterium.
On Thursday at the athletics, along with mum Claire, they supported the UK team in preparation for their dad’s individual run in the 1500m and with the four by 100m relay on Friday.
“I loved watching Dad realise that he had won gold in the cycling – we all jumped on top of him,” said Jaya.
“The first thing he said when he got the bronze in the criterium was ‘I’m sorry’. He really wanted to win – he’s really competitive,” Josh said.
“We’re so proud of him. The Invictus Games have been amazing.”
