Students at Concord High School were the first to speak with Cobber the Chatbot as momentum builds for the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 presented by Jaguar Land Rover.
With under 40 days to go until the Opening Ceremony, Cobber the Chatbot brings the loveable Invictus Games Sydney 2018 mascot to life while providing the Invictus Games community with a truly unique and engaging digital experience, 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
Cobber the Chatbot is not only an expert on all things Invictus Games, he’s also got a cheeky sense of humour and certainly knows his fair share of Dad jokes!
Cobber the Chatbot aims to celebrate the Invictus Games and connect with its Global community in a meaningful way.
Cobber the Chatbot was created with the help of Kriti Sharma, VP of Artificial Intelligence at Sage.
Sage is a Premier Partner of Invictus Games Sydney 2018 and the company provided financial support and intellectual capital to help develop the Chatbot.
At the launch Kriti hosted a session for students focusing on skills for the future and an introduction to emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and the importance of building AI using an ethical framework.
“Cobber can quickly reply to large numbers of messages seeking answers to commonly asked questions on topics such as event times and ticketing. This means the Invictus Games Sydney 2018 will have more time to support the competitors and their supporters and to put on the amazing event they deserve. It’s been great working with the team to create a Chatbot which is fun, functional, uniquely Australian and supports such a worthy event.” Kriti said.
With services like Facebook Messenger now being used by more than 13 million monthly users in Australia, Cobber the Chatbot is expected to be popular with people of all ages.
