Golf

Two event categories, individual and team, will be in place for the Golf Open presented by ISPS Handa. Both events will run concurrently.

The individual event is open to male and female Invictus Games competitors. The team event is open to male and female Invictus Games competitors, family and friends and event partners. 

The winners in each of the individual and team events will receive an official Invictus Games prize.

THE COMPETITION

There will be individual events for both men and women conducted under the ‘Rules of Golf’ as prescribed by the Royal & Ancient St Andrews and in conjunction with the ‘Modification of the Rules of Golf for Golfers with Disabilities’. 

The team event will consist of the best Stableford score on each hole from a group of four players.  The event will use a shotgun start and will be conducted over 18 holes using an Individual Stableford scoring format. 

Ties will be resolved using a count-back system based on the best score of the tied competitors on the back nine (holes 10-18). Should scores remain tied, a count-back on the back six holes shall be used, then back three, then hole by hole until a winner can be determined.
