Our newest Ambassador Gus Worland tells us about how he takes care of his own mental health, why all Australians should support our wounded warriors and what he is most looking forward to about Invictus Games Sydney 2018.

1. We’re delighted to have you on board as an Ambassador. Why are you proud to support the Invictus Games?

The Invictus Games epitomises what courage, guts, determination and love is all about. I’m thrilled to have been invited to be an Ambassador.

2. You’re a passionate advocate for men’s mental health and wellbeing. How do you take care of your own mental health?

I honestly believe that my own mental health is in good shape because I talk about my thoughts and feelings openly and honestly with my Gotcha4Life friends! No topic is off limits and I think showing vulnerability is a strength that will make you happier and healthier between the ears

3. Why should Australians get behind the Games and support our wounded warriors?

Australians love sport, love our country and love our military. We are very proud of our men and women in uniform and to have the Games here in Sydney gives us a wonderful opportunity to celebrate these awesome people who are special in so many ways.

4. What about Invictus Games Sydney 2018 gets you most excited?

I’m sure the vibe of the city will be amazing! Incredible competitors on home turf in a set of world class venues… what a combination!

5. What sport are you most excited to watch?

Athletics and swimming.
