Invictus Games Sydney 2018 has welcomed Aon as an Official Games supporter.
Presented by Jaguar Land Rover, Invictus Games Sydney 2018 is an international sporting event for wounded, ill and injured servicemen and women. The Games welcome both active duty and veteran personnel and celebrate the critical role played by family and friends.
“Many servicemen and women suffer life-changing injuries, visible or otherwise, whilst serving their nation,” said Lambros Lambrou, CEO of Aon Risk Solutions in Australia.
“It was a simple decision to become an Official Supporter of the Invictus Games in 2018 because the event aligns perfectly with our values as an organisation.
Aon’s support of Invictus Games Sydney 2018 will help shine a light on initiatives that inspire connected, healthy and active lifestyles for those servicemen and women facing mental health and physical challenges.
“Every day at Aon, we are driven by a desire to help our clients empower human and economic possibility. Through innovation and growth we help millions in business and social communities recover and thrive in the face of adversity. We believe Invictus Games Sydney 2018 send a fantastic message about what can be achieved through the offer of equal opportunities,” he added.
“The competitors taking part in the Games serve as an inspiration to all for their perseverance, commitment and passion, and we are enormously proud to play a role in bringing this event to Sydney,” Mr Lambrou said.
Aon’s partnership with Invictus Games Sydney 2018 follows the recent announcement that Aon has entered into a partnership to support Paralympic Gold Medallist Curtis McGrath OAM, also an Invictus Games Sydney 2018 Ambassador.
“I’d like to thank Aon for their vision and commitment to support our servicemen and women. The Invictus Games are such an important event for those recovering from injury.
“The Games harnesses the power of sport to inspire recovery and support competitor rehabilitation, and in turn, the competitors inspire countless others with their demonstration of determination and resilience. The event is also an opportunity to reconnect with the defence community and make lifelong new friends,” McGrath said.
