Medibank, in partnership with The Banksia Project, is hosting an event for veterans and their families during the Invictus Games Sydney 2018: An Unconquerable Mind: a discussion on veterans’ mental health.
The session will facilitate a discussion on the role mental health plays in veteran recovery and transition to civilian life, and allow veterans and their support networks to share their personal stories and experiences.
Attendees will learn about support tools as well as the role their community can play in their recovery. Â The session will include health professionals who will provide expertise, on hand support and practical guidance.
Date: 25 October
Light Lunch: 11.30am
Panel Session: 12pm – 2pm
Venue: Novotel Hotel, Olympic Boulevard, Sydney Olympic Park.
Attendees will also hear about Growth Rooms, a program being developed by The Banksia Project and supported by Medibank. Growth rooms are designed by veterans and clinical experts for veterans.
